What is Move Management?

The process of creating a detailed, logistical plan for each asset or system that requires relocation, followed by the execution of that plan, resulting in a fully operational organization immediately upon arrival at the new location.

Move Management is a key element in the implementation phase of any project.  They may be needed at the beginning, to vacate space about to undergo renovations, at the end to occupy new or renovated space, and during the project to support a multi-phased build-out.

While the physical move may take only a day or two, the planning required to support a smooth relocation may need to start weeks, and with large initiatives even months, prior to the move.
